If technology has not impacted your assessment and evaluation, what would you like to change? Discuss technology and your own productivity and professional practice.
Description:
Assessment and evaluation as key terms in student progress. My field experience shows me a great way to assess and evaluate students through the use of merely three things internet connection, laptop and the teacher itself.
Impact:
It deep in to my nerves the fact that I'm late in terms of assessing and evaluating students. During my stay in University of Akron NIFHS-STEM school I realize that there are so many possible but easier way how to assess and evaluate students progress. I used to implement during my teaching time pen and paper evaluation, but lot of frustrations and stress enters my brain. I need to check a lot of papers, put a lot of correction comment, waste a lot of paper and ink and waste a lot of time. I very much got by the program in the internet called ALEKS a math website use and being implemented by the School. The system uses evaluative materials that checks students mathematical ability and skills according to their grade level. It is easy to accomplish and the students are given their own time to finish all of the required activities. Through the use of this software, teacher and students are able to monitor their own progress by means of what the program called pie which made me realize that on this way I can easily point out where my students need some more discussion and where do i need to focus on.
Intent:
Since the software is internet base, It can be accessed by different users which means I can also used it with my class. Using it is a one great step for me to become a new day educator. But still a lot of things for me to learn and understand.
